The scientific and technical information contained in the paper entitled “Hydrothermal enrichment of lithium in intracaldera illite-bearing claystones” authored by Thomas R. Benson, Matthew A. Coble and John H. Dilles (the “Publication”) solely as it pertains to Lithium Americas Corp. (“LAC”) has been reviewed and approved by Rene LeBlanc, RM-SME, Chief Technical Officer of LAC, a Qualified Person as defined under NI 43-101. It should be noted that one of the authors of the Publication, Thomas R. Benson, was the Vice President of Global Exploration at Lithium Americas and is now Vice President of Global Exploration for Lithium Argentina. The Publication refers to measured and indicated resources at LAC's Thacker Pass Project of 3.0 MT of lithium which is expressed in lithium metal and not lithium carbonate equivalent (“LCE”) and the conversion factor from lithium metal to LCE is approximately 5.323. Readers are therefore directed to LAC's NI 43-101 technical report titled “Feasibility Study, National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report for the Thacker Pass Project Humboldt County, Nevada, USA” with an effective date of November 2, 2022, for the resource estimates for the Thacker Pass Project. The opinions expressed in the Publication are those of the authors and they do not purport to reflect the opinions or views of LAC.
